There are two main types of softwares as Application and System.
Application software works with perticular environment i.e. on System software. Example: Office Suites, Games, Social Apps, etc.
But on other hand System software create working environment for users. Example: Windows OS, Mac OS, UNIX OS, etc. are mainly popular in Computers and Android, IOS, Windows, Symbian, etc. are popular in Mobile / Tablet.
